In the series “Autoportraits”, blind children use a trigger device to capture their image.

The fascination of the photographed children resides, not on the product itself, but primarily on the experience of the photographic act where the texture of the trigger and the sound of the camera’s shutter become the most significant stimuli of the session. The lens of the camera and the final photography are only appreciated by those with sight.

What captivates me the most about this series is the exceptional perception of identity on a blind child, given that they are not fully aware of the visual image of their bodies, which allows a transparency of personality to reflected in each photography.
